Andrzej Korkus, CEO of EWL S.A., says that according to the survey, in 2016 Poland received more labour migrants than the United States. ‘We have created a system that is able to meet the migration challenges and the vast majority of workers from outside Poland work legally on the basis of visas and permits. Migrants are a huge added value for the economy, they are primarily responsible for GDP growth’, Andrzej Korkus. He adds that migration is indicated as one of the main engines of economic growth in Poland. ‘The influx of workers from Ukraine taught us, in a sense, tolerance towards diversity – for our administration and society it was an important lesson in awareness of this diversity. Employees from Ukraine have been very beneficial to both our economy and our society’, Andrzej Korkus.
