‘The coronavirus pandemic in Europe in 2020 has limited the outflow of foreign workers from Poland. It has given us some breathing space, but it is not worth resting on our laurels as labour migrants will gradually leave our country for more attractive labour markets’, says EWL’s CEO Andrzej Korkus in an interview with Piotr Pogorzelski, a long-time Polish Radio correspondent in Kiev and author of the podcast “Po Prostu Wschód“.

‘We are losing to Germany in terms of wages, but these wages are growing faster in Poland than in the Western economies we are chasing. On the other hand, we are winning with these markets with a simple and quick legalisation path. This is our greatest asset. However, we must constantly work on further simplification and acceleration of the legalisation procedure’, emphasizes the expert. He adds that this will bring many benefits both to the companies employing #foreigners in our country and to the Polish economy.
