The year 2020 has shown us all how much solidarity and mutual help from people from different backgrounds is worth. Children need particular support, especially in countries where the situation has worsened dramatically during the pandemic.
EWL S.A., for several years now, has been supporting the “Święta bez Taty” (“Holidays without Dad”) campaign, a Christmas fundraiser for children who suffered as a result of the war in the East of Ukraine. As part of the campaign, sweets, new toys and money are collected, formed into individual, personalized gift packages and delivered personally by volunteers to little recipients in Ukraine. This is what the collection at EWL looked like a year ago:
However, this year, due to the pandemic, there is only a cash collection, which will last until January 7, 2021 on the Zrzutka.pl portal.
In addition, for the next year we will also direct our help to those in need from other countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, including kids, by signing a partnership agreement with Polska Akcja Humanitarna (Polish Humanitarian Action). PAH, which celebrated its 28th anniversary on December 26, operates all over the world, responding in places where humanitarian crises (like natural disasters and armed conflicts) break out.
Currently, Polish Humanitarian Action works in Somalia, South Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, Kenya, Ukraine and Lebanon.
