Manual workers for production

The client’s business is based on manual labour. For this reason, the client clearly specified the requirements for the candidates.

The company approached EWL asking for help in finding employees who would be ready to work in selected production plants. The industry is facing several challenges. One of them are the clearly defined requirements for candidates for work.  The client applied to our agency expecting assistance in hiring production workers in various locations.

According to the application these could be workers without high qualifications. The execution time was also an additional challenge – after all, the productivity and continuity of production largely depend on the employed personnel. Thanks to many years of experience in this type of projects we did not hesitate to take up the challenge to meet the client’s expectations.

Many hours for the right rates

After establishing the principles of cooperation and analyzing staffing and production levels, the EWL team began implementing solutions tailored to the client’s real needs.

In each of the locations EWL appointed leaders, who are the first contact person for other employees, thanks to which their current needs or problems are solved in a short time. An additional guarantee of keeping a pulse are the delegated coordinators, who know the local market well and who regularly monitor the situation in the client’s facilities and react in case of a need to increase employment.

An important element improving the effectiveness of recruitment were recommendations to the client to change the offered hourly rates and the criteria for selecting candidates for work in the plants. As a result the client’s offer became more attractive and could reach a much wider group of potential employees.

The recruitment of employees was not the only challenge though. The training at our client’s plant lasted 3 months and involved regular working hours. For employees who were interested in working more hours, this meant earning less than they had expected.

Therefore, at the advice of EWL consultants, the client provided for additional paid work for willing employees, which they could perform on the production floor also on days off. Such a solution had a positive impact on the level of staff satisfaction, who were willing to stay at this place of work for longer.

Recruitment for several plants across the country

The solutions that we proposed and implemented brought an effect in line with the client’s expectations and needs. Our experts comprehensively dealt with the recruitment of employees who matched the requirements of the indicated production plants.

  • EWL fulfilled the contract and provided the client with over 120 employees in total, and each order was completed in less than 2 months.

All workers received training with an interpreter on site and were also offered guided tours of the factory in selected locations. The workers supplied by EWL were therefore comprehensively prepared and trained, enabling them to undertake their work with meeting all safety requirements.

EWL’s support enabled the recruitment needs to be met despite the lack of candidates on the local market. What is more, EWL’s recommendations and implemented solutions allowed the company to retain its existing staff.

More than just recruitment

The EWL team does more than recruit employees. We also advise our clients on how to approach the recruitment process. Our experience helps us not only to recommend the right rates, but also to introduce non-standard actions, which have a positive impact on the level of employee satisfaction and consequently reduce the risk of staff rotation.

We are convinced that the solutions proposed by the EWL employment agency will also be helpful in any other company where the efficiency and continuity of production largely depend on the employed personnel.
