Nearly 3/4 of the refugees from Ukraine residing in Poland plan to stay in our country during the Easter holidays, and almost half of them will spend this time together with their families who are also in Poland. This is evidenced by the results of the survey “War refugees from Ukraine. Easter in Poland”, conducted by the EWL Migration Platform and the Eastern European Studies at Warsaw University.

The survey showed that 74% of Ukrainian refugees residing in our country plan to spend the Easter holiday period in Poland. Among the main reasons for such a decision, respondents cited concerns and difficulties related to the ongoing war in Ukraine (46%) and the presence in Poland of refugees’ families and relatives (31%). Only 14% of respondents admitted that the reason for staying in Poland during the holiday season is gainful employment.
