What changes are coming to Poland’s regulations on the legalisation of foreign employment?Artur Gregorczyk – an expert at EWL Group and Legalito, specialising in the legalisation of work and residence for third-country nationals – shared his insights on this issue in an article published by the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita.
In the article authored by Anita Błaszczak and published on June 20, our expert assessed the proposed legislative changes as a step in the right direction. He also emphasised the importance of continued digitalisation of administrative procedures – such as the ability to submit applications via the praca.gov.pl platform – as a meaningful improvement that could reduce the burden on employers and accelerate the legalisation process.
However, Artur Gregorczyk also pointed out that the proposed reforms do not address all challenges facing the labour market. One such issue is the outdated list of seasonal occupations, which – despite growing demand in various sectors – continues to focus almost exclusively on agriculture and hospitality. Meanwhile, sectors such as logistics and manufacturing also experience seasonal spikes in employment, particularly during the pre-holiday period.
