Rzeczpospolita: Employment agencies are waiting for Belarusians

Andrzej Korkus, CEO of EWL, has been observing an increased interest in working in Poland among the citizens of Belarus since May-June this year, which also translates into slightly higher recruitment. ‘However, this is an increase of several percent, so we cannot talk about “mass labour migration” of Belarusians to Poland in the current situation’, Korkus points out. According to Korkus, the inhabitants of larger Belarusian towns, both young and old, are those mainly interested in working in Poland and they most often look for employment in the food or logistics industry (…).

Andrzej Korkus adds that the main direction of economic migration of Belarusians is Russia and Poland is fighting against Lithuania for the second place. ‘Yet, most of the economic migrants from Ukraine were also working in Russia seven years ago’, the head of EWL reminds us.
