TVP Rzeszów: Labour migration from Ukraine – important topics of the 13th Europe-Ukraine Forum

Specialists talked about the benefits connected therewith and about the forecasts for the future. It is estimated that almost one million Ukrainians are working in Poland today. For them it is a chance for a better future and for Poland it is a chance for economic recovery. Most Ukrainians find jobs in construction and transport services, but more and more people with higher education are starting their adventure in our country.

‘Their (migrants from Ukraine – ed.) influence on our economic growth is estimated at 0.5 to 1.5 percent of the GDP, which is an amazing factor for our economic growth. The threat is that they may leave.’, says Andrzej Korkus, CEO of EWL S.A.
