On Monday, 13 March, the report “War Refugees from Ukraine. One Year in Poland” from the sociological survey of the EWL Migration Platform and the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw was presented at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The results of the survey were presented at the conference by experts of the EWL Migration Platform and the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw: Marcin Ko\u0142odziejczyk, International Recruitment Director, Margarita Sytnik, EWL Spokesperson and Jan Malicki, Director of the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw. The participants of the conference were migration researchers, professors, foreign media and representatives of institutions, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv and the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Lviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Ukrainians are very socially active. They are a new type of refugees,’ <\/p>\nsaid Jan Malicki during the presentation of the report.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The key findings of the EWL report were published on the front page of the Ukrainian news agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

‘27% of Ukrainian refugees in Poland found employment within the first month of their stay in Poland. 34% were looking for employment for one to three months. Only 18% of Ukrainians are currently unemployed. This is evidenced by the results of research by the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw, the EWL Migration Platform and the Foundation for the Support of Migrants on the Labour Market EWL,’ <\/p>\nreads galinfo.com.ua.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The survey \u201eWar Refugees from Ukraine. A Year in Poland” was conducted on behalf of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister between 10-16 February 2023 by the EWL Migration Platform, the EWL Foundation and the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw. A total of 400 Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland after 24 February 2022 due to the outbreak of war in Ukraine were surveyed in 34 Polish locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
