\u2018We are in a unique position where our previous experience in employing economic migrants has allowed Poland to achieve unprecedented global success in the labour activation of refugees from Ukraine \u2013 more than 2\/3 of the working-age refugees have already found employment in Poland. We want to share our know-how with partners and clients across Europe,\u2019 said Andrzej Korkus at the Economic Forum in Karpacz, presenting the latest study of the EWL Group and the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw, ‘Ukrainian refugees \u2013 labour activation in Poland and Germany’.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The results of our study show that the majority of Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland need to have the proverbial fishing rod, not fish, which means that they want to take up employment for the duration of their stay in Poland. Our task is to help refugees, also in their labour activation in Poland and in other countries that have accepted Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war,\u2019 emphasized Anatoliy Zymnin during the presentation of the report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Yuriy Zabiyaka and featuring Andrzej Korkus, Pawe\u0142 Szefernaker and Bartosz Marczuk. The topic of the discussion was ‘The migrant crisis as it never was. What is next for the refugees? ‘ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018According to our study, 68% of refugees employed in Poland declare that they speak their native language in the workplace. Such an amazing opportunity could be the beginning of a new quality on the Polish labour market,\u2019 pointed out Andrzej Korkus during the discussion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
