However, simplified legalization procedures and the growing willingness\nof Polish employers to employ foreigners do not always translate into safety of\nwork.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizers\nof the &#8216;Migrant Station&#8217; project draw attention to the scale of potential\nabuse, which is associated with a large increase in labour migration.\nForeigners coming to Poland\noften fall prey to dishonest intermediaries and do not have enough knowledge to\neffectively search for work in Poland\nor apply for legalization documents necessary for further stay and work. &#8216;From\nMay, foreigners visiting the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station will be able to\nenrich their knowledge about working and staying in Poland in the newly opened\ninformation point for foreigners, which we are preparing in cooperation with\nthe station administrator, PKS Polonus S.A&#8217;, says Monika O\u0142\u00f3w, project coordinator\nat the Foundation for Support of Migrants on the Labour Market &#8220;EWL&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ninformation point, open on workdays in the main hall of the station, is not the\nonly element of the programme which starts in May. The Foundation&#8217;s\nrepresentatives will provide career guidance for foreigners, which will also\ninclude specialized counselling for people of Polish descent, including\nrepatriates and people with the Pole&#8217;s Card. The point will also host regular\ninformation meetings.
